Mr. Ryan T. Pinsenschaum is the Senior Materiel Leader, Chief of the Propulsion Acquisition Division (LPA) and the Propulsion Directorate Program Management (PM) Organization Senior Functional (OSF), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He leads a team of over 200 military and civilians focused on United States propulsion dominance over near peer competitors and maintaining propulsion safety/reliability of 41 engine variants for 10 MAJCOMs & 50+ partners. Mr. Pinsenschaum directs the acquisition, program planning, defense, and execution of propulsion technology, developing and delivering production propulsion systems in support of various Department of Defense and international customers to include next generation advanced propulsion systems for 5th, 6th, and beyond generation weapon systems. As the PM OSF, he organizes, trains, and equips the Directorate PMs supporting the PEO Propulsion in the mission to serve as the single integrator to deliver READY, INNOVATIVE, SAFE, and EFFECTIVE propulsion solutions for the Warfighter.
Prior to LPA, Mr. Pinsenschaum served as the Deputy Program Manager for the F-15EX, where he was responsible for the management and execution of the ACAT 1B F-15EX Program, procuring advanced F-15s for the USAF to refresh the aging F-15C/D fleet. During his tenure, he built the program office, directed the successful delivery of two F-15EX aircraft - the first USAF F-15 acquisition in over 19 years, co-led the engine competition, and transitioned F-15EX from a Middle Tier of Acquisition to Major Defense Acquisition Program.
Mr. Pinsenschaum began his career with the Air Force in 2010 and has served in acquisition, staff, and career broadening assignments. Prior to Government service, Mr. Pinsenschaum was a lead engineer in the automotive industry, developing next generation safety products and earning multiple United States patents.
