Major LaGue has dedicated his career to empowering the warfighter through innovative solutions and unwavering commitment to delivering lethality where it counts. Growing up in Orange Park, Florida, MAJ LaGue began his military journey in 2008 as a Combat Medic in the Army Reserves, forging a deep understanding of the Soldier’s experience. Commissioned as an Armor Officer through the University of North Florida’s ROTC program in 2011, he went on to lead at the tactical edge with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. There, he served as a Plans Officer, Platoon Leader, and Troop Executive Officer, including a combat deployment to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Resolute Support.
After graduating the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course and earning the coveted Ranger Tab in 2016, MAJ LaGue was assigned to 1-64 AR, 3rd Infantry Division, where he commanded Bravo Company and led forces during a regionally aligned forces rotation to South Korea, reinforcing U.S. deterrence efforts in the Indo-Pacific. In 2019, he was assessed into the Acquisition Corps and earned earning an MBA with a concentration in Engineering Management from the University of Alabama–Huntsville.
MAJ LaGue’s first Acquisition assignment was Assistant Program Manager (APM) for Medium Caliber Ammunition at PM Maneuver Ammunition Systems, JPEO Armaments & Ammunition. There, he led the Army’s Medium Caliber counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) efforts, driving cutting-edge lethality solutions that delivered cost-effective and decisive overmatch to the Joint Force.
From 2024-2025, he served as the Executive Officer to the Joint Program Executive Officer for Armaments & Ammunition and Commanding General of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ where he directly supported the Army’s mission to rebuild the Arsenal of Democracy. In this critical role, he was a key enabler of the Army’s “peace through strength” strategy, ensuring America’s warfighters are equipped with the lethality and technological overmatch they need to deter aggression and win decisively in large-scale combat operations. Today, MAJ LaGue serves as an APM for Lethal & Protective Payloads in Project Manager Close Combat Systems. In this role, he is at the cutting edge of delivering safe, effective, and reliable lethal payloads to UAS platforms across the Army.
