Lieutenant Colonel Gregory Roth serves as the Materiel Leader for both Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Propulsion and for CCA Increment 2 Air Vehicle for Propulsion Acquisition Division (LPA) and for the Agile Development Office, Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate (WAC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He is responsible for designing and developing the CCA Increment 2 air vehicle as well as the propulsion solution that enables the weapon system.
Lt Col Roth received his commission through the Office Training School in 2006. After commissioning, he served at the 850th Electronic Systems Group at Peterson AFB as an engineer and program manager on the Joint Space Operations Center prototype. He then served as an engineer, program manager, executive officer, and legislative liaison at the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, VA. Following this assignment, he served as the Program Manager for the Compass Call program and was responsible for the depot revitalization of the EC-130H fleet as well as the Air Force’s first rehost of electronic warfare systems onto a modified Gulf Stream 550 aircraft. Next Lt Col Roth served as the Air Force Materiel Command’s Inspector General Command Acquisition Program Inspector as the Team Lead for all Special Access Program inspections. Following this assignment, he served as the Deputy Commander’s Action Group Chief and Command Speech Writer for Air Force Materiel Command where he oversaw daily operations for the commander’s strategic council and authored speeches for national, Department of Defense, and community strategic engagements for the Commander. Next, he served as Chief for Program Integration for Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Family of Systems (FoS) followed by serving as the Deputy Branch Chief for CCA Increment 1 in the Agile Development Office. As the Integration lead, he was responsible for incorporation of program capabilities into the NGAD FoS, and as the CCA Increment 1 Deputy Branch Chief he led a lean handpicked team to utilize next generation acquisition process to ensure speed to ramp of NGAD’s affordable mass. The position he served in prior to this was as the Materiel Leader for Next Generation Adaptive Propulsion developing the prototype for 6th generation fighter engines.
