Colonel Ryan Bell

Commander, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division US Army

Colonel Ryan Bell commands 3rd Mobile Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, where he has focused efforts on integrating emerging technologies—including UAS swarms, automated target recognition, loitering munitions, and robotic breaching systems—with light infantry fundamentals to enable maneuver in contested and denied environments.

COL Bell has led formations from platoon to battalion in combat across multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has also served in strategic roles including as Executive Officer for the Commanding General of XVIII Airborne Corps, where he deployed to Europe in support of Operation Assure, Deter and Reinforce and helped establish SAG-U, and separately deployed in support of the Sudan evacuation. Additional strategic assignments include White House Fellow - Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security, and Military Assistant to the Undersecretary of the Army.

He recently completed a Duke University fellowship studying AI and lethal autonomous systems. COL Bell holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University and a Master's in International Relations from Troy University.

COL Bell is married to COL Adriane Bell, MD, and they have three daughters.
