CAPT Will "Easy" Eastham received his commission from the University of Virginia ROTC in 2000, is a native of Amissville, Virginia, and earned his "wings of gold" in March 2002. He earned a MS in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego in 2008. CAPT Eastham completed his third Commanding Officer role as Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific Commodore in February 2025.
His operational assignments include Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, V-2 Division Officer and TOPCAT Shooter onboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23 as Expeditionary Combat Element ONE Detachment Officer in Charge (OIC) onboard USS Makin Island (LHD-8) and Squadron Operations Officer. He commanded Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 onboard Anderson Air Force Base, Guam from 2017-2018. HSC-25 received the FY18 Battle "E" Award spanning the width of his command tour.
CAPT Eastham's shore tours include Instructor Pilot and MH-60S NATOPS Model Manager at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3; DOD Coordinator with United States Strategic Command Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction in Washington, D.C, and Naval Personnel Command, Millington, TN as PERS-431B / O-5 Helicopter Assignments. Additionally, he commanded the HSC-3 Merlins, the Pacific's MH-60S Fleet Replacement Squadron, from May 2020 to August 2021. He is a 2014 graduate of Joint Forces Staff College and has earned designation as a Joint Qualified Officer (JQO).
CAPT Eastham has accumulated over 2,850 flight hours and has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Leadership Award (peer selected) twice. He is authorized to wear the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit, personal, and campaign medals.
