Brigadier General Grzegorz Ślusarz

Commander, 4th Air Training Wing in Dęblin, Poland Polish Air Force

Brigadier General Grzegorz ŚLUSARZ graduated from the Air Force Academy in Dęblin, specialized in the piloting of supersonic aircraft. He completed postgraduate studies at the National Defence Academy in Warsaw, University of Opole, Poznań University of Technology, higher graduate studies and postgraduate studies in defence policy at the National Defence University in Washington. He performed his professional military service in the 11th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Wroclaw, 3rd Tactical Air Squadron in Krzesiny, 6th Tactical Air Squadron, 31st Tactical Air Base and 2nd Tactical Air Wing in Poznań. During his military career Brig. Gen. Grzegorz Ślusarz advanced through numerous of positions in air force units. Starting as a senior pilot, through key commander, senior squadron navigator, section officer, deputy squadron commander, senior flight safety inspector, department chief, training chief, Commander of 31st Tactical Air Base, Deputy commander of 2nd Tactical Air Wing in Poznań. Between 2005 and 2007 he was trainning on F-16 Fighting Falcon multi-purpose aircraft, gaining his first experience high maneuverability aircraft, flying T-38 Talon and F-16 Fighting Falcon at air bases in San Antonio (Texas), Enid (Oklahoma) and Tucson (Arizona). He participated in the Tactical Leadership Programme course in Florennes (Belgium) gaining qualifications to command air groups in air combat. Currently he is the commander of 4th Air Training Wing in Dęblin. Brig. Gen. Grzegorz Ślusarz has all the authorizations to perform flights on multipurpose aircraft F-16, in different atmospheric conditions, in the full range of use of the possessed armament. He has over 2,500 hours of flight experience in military jet aircraft.
