Commander, 41st Training Aviation Base in Dęblin, Poland Polish Air Force

Col Paweł MARCINKOWSKI, a graduate of the Air Force Academy in Dęblin (1996). He received his first position in the 9th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Zegrze Pomorskie as a senior pilot. In his career, he went through all levels in the aviation unit, up to and including the squadron commander. In 2011, he became the pilot of the year on the 31st BLT. The nomination coincided with his 1,000-hour flight on the F-16 as one of the first Polish pilots. In April 2012, he took command of the 6th Air Squadron "Tiger" - repeatedly awarded for its achievements for the Armed Forces. In 2012, he also participated in the RED FLAG exercise in Alaska, where he commanded the Polish component. Due to a large baggage of experience and multiple participation in international exercises, in 2014 he was entrusted with the command of the Air Component of the NATO Response Force. In addition, in 2015 he was appointed the commander of the Blue Flag Aviation component, which proudly represented the Polish Air Force in Israel, obtaining the highest marks from the organizers and participants of the exercise. Then he was appointed the Commander of the Aviation Action Group at the 31 Tactical Air Base, and in 2016-2017 he was the Vice-Rector for Military Affairs at the Air Force Academy in Dęblin. In 2018, he was appointed the Head of the Operational Division - Deputy Polish National Military Representative at the Polish National Military Representation at the Supreme Command of the Allied Forces in Europe. Currently, he serves as the Commander of the 41st Training Aviation Base in Dęblin. In 2005, he completed postgraduate studies at Air Command And Staff College Resident Course (Air University, Maxwell). In 2016, he completed the Senior Course at NATO Defense College - Rome. In 2019, he obtained a PhD at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism. Col Marcinkowski is a qualified master class instructor and an F-16 test pilot with a total flight time more than 3000 hours, including 2100 hours on the F-16 multi-role aircraft. It performed flights on: TS-11, MiG-21Bis, T-38C, M-346 and F-16.
