Col Liccardo was born in Naples on 24th December 1976. He joined the Air Force Academy in 1995 where he got the Political Science degree in 1999. After the degree he completed the pilot training at Sheppard AFB (USA) in 2001.

From 2002 to 2016 he was assigned to the 156th Sq, flying the PA200 “TORNADO”, operating in Afghanistan (Operation ISAF), Lybia (Operation Unified Protection) and Iraq (Operation Inherent Resolve).

In 2017 he attended the Italian Warfare College where he got the master degree in Strategic studies and, after that, he was appointed as responsible for the “Pilot Training, Exercises and Evaluations policy” at the Aerospace Planning Department of the ItAF Air Staff.

From 2018 he was assigned at the IFTS Team as Deputy Chief of the Project Office.

From September 2021 he is the Chief of the Training, Exercises & Evaluations Branch at the Aerospace Planning Department of the ItAF Air Staff.

He is a command pilot with more than 2500 flying hours mostly on fast jets. Col LICCARDO is married to Mrs Angela and they have 2 sons (Fabio and Sofia).
