Matthew E. Boyer specializes in development and improvement of technology for logistics, intelligence, and special operations. His current research focuses on autonomous vehicles, global logistics, and technology development. Boyer has recently led research projects focused on Army development of autonomous vehicles and advanced capability development Army Special Operations Forces. Previously, he has led research on ultralight ground mobility and nonstandard logistics capability for Special Forces. Boyer previously served as an Army officer in multiple reconnaissance positions, including two tours in Iraq. He has also deployed to Afghanistan as a RAND analyst to advise U.S. Special Operations commanders and currently works closely with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
