He is responsible for strategic, senior-level acquisition enterprise engagements regarding Army and selected Marine Corps weapon systems, customer-related policy, training & tools, and integrated weapon system portfolio analysis.
COL Green is an active duty Army Officer with over 27 years of service. He is a veteran of Operation Vigilant Warrior, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In his previous assignments, he served as the Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC), US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM); Director of Contracting (DOC), MICC Carlisle Barracks and Fort Rucker and the Aviation Center of Excellence; Commander, DCMA Southern Afghanistan (Kandahar); Commander, DCMA New Cumberland; Executive Officer and Military Assistant to the Director, DCMA; Commander, DCMA Albuquerque; Contingency Contracting Team Lead, USACCE/ACA; Commander of the Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; Commander, Hotel Company, The Old Guard; Commander, HHC - 3/502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 101st Airborne Division; Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Specialty Platoon Leader, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Fort Benning, Georgia. COL Green is a Distinguished Member of the 18th Infantry Regiment and 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), and is the 42nd Commander of the Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. COL Green entered the United States Army in 1988, enlisting in the Army as an Airborne Infantryman. Later, he attended Lincoln Memorial University where he received an ROTC commission in the Infantry.
He earned a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University, and a Master’s of Strategic Studies (MSS) from the United States Army War College. His military education includes the Infantry Officers Basic and Advanced courses, Combined Arms Service and Staff School (CAS3), Resident Command and General Staff College (CGSC), and the United States Army War College (USAWC). COL Green is DAWIA Level 3 certified in Contracting and Level 2 in Program Management.

COL Green is married to the former Ms. April D. Greer of Tazewell, Tennessee. They have a 15 year old son, Samuel, and 13 year old daughter, Ella Katherine.
