Interoperability Program Manager Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness

Travis Johnson has over 30 years of Communications and Emergency Management experience gleaned from Fortune 500 companies such as ABC Radio and Motorola Solutions, and the public sector via his employment with the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) where currently serves as the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC) In addition to his civilian work, Mr. Johnson is a Master Sergeant with the 236th Combat Communications Squadron of the Louisiana Air National Guard (LAANG), where he has deployed in support of operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He has also deployed in support of disaster relief efforts, to include earthquake relief in Haiti and Hurricane Katrina response in New Orleans. In both 2017 and 2021 he led teams in Washington, D.C. providing communications support for the Presidential Inaugurations.
