Jim Fitzgerald

Jim Fitzgerald joined SparkCognition in the fall of 2017 to bring artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to SparkCognition’s Defense and National Security customers. As the Director of Defense and National Security, Fitzgerald leads relationships with domestic and international clients across SparkCognition’s portfolio.

Prior to SparkCognition, Fitzgerald was a General Manager for Pratt & Whitney & United Technologies Corporation, where he led a manufacturing and assembly operation that produced OEM & MRO aerospace components and assemblies in four manufacturing facilities. Fitzgerald is also a combat-decorated U.S. Naval Aviator and Top Gun graduate, accumulating over 2,000 hours airborne in the F/A-18C Hornet and 485 aircraft carrier landings on three deployments in direct support of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Fitzgerald has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and a Master of Engineering Management and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
