Jon McEntee

Mr. Jonathan McEntee serves as Executive Director of the Border and Immigration Enforcement Mission Center for S&T's Homeland Security Advanced Projects Research Agency. He leads the Program Management arm in delivering innovative and impactful capabilities to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Coast Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Previously, Mr. McEntee was the Principal Director for the Office of Mission and Capability Support. He led the Program Management arm of S&T in delivering innovative and impactful solutions to DHS Component operations.

Mr. McEntee also served as the Director of Operations and Requirements Analysis for S&T partnering with all DHS Components to identify, collect, and prioritize research and development (R&D) needs to inform S&T investments, and managing the collaboration and coordination of R&D investments across DHS from 2020-2024. In 2022, he was detailed to the S&T front office as the Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Chief of Staff.

From 2016-2020, Mr. McEntee was the Acting Borders, Immigration, and Maritime Director for S&T and Deputy Director for S&T's Borders and Maritime Security Division (BMD) from 2013-2016, and held several Program Management roles since 2011, which included managing maritime security systems, border information exchange architectures, and cargo security initiatives. Prior to that, he served one year as a DHS Legislative Fellow on Capitol Hill working as an advisor to a U.S. Senator on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. McEntee worked as the Chief of Business Operations for BMD.

Mr. McEntee worked as an industry consultant for the Department of Homeland Security and Department of War from 1999 to 2007. He worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman Information Systems and AMCORP to provide expertise in U.S. border and maritime security and U.S. Navy Undersea Warfare systems.

Mr. McEntee holds a Master of Business Administration from Salisbury University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Frostburg State University.
