Jason Stevens

Jason Stevens serves as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Arizona. SAC Stevens has oversight of HSI's activities in Arizona and leads more than 580 personnel assigned to offices in Phoenix, Tucson, Douglas, Nogales, Sells, Yuma, Casa Grande, Prescott Valley, and Flagstaff. As the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, HSI investigates, disrupts, and dismantles transnational criminal organizations and terrorist networks that threaten or seek to exploit the customs and immigration laws of the United States.

SAC Stevens serves as Co-Director of Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) Core 6, responsible for operationalizing the HSTF model across Arizona. He leads multi-agency efforts to disrupt and dismantle transnational criminal organizations, foreign terrorist organizations, and cross-border criminal networks. SAC Stevens oversees the integration of HSI Arizona personnel and federal, state, and local partners within the Core 6 structure, establishing clear Lines of Effort (LOEs), enforcing operational accountability, and driving intelligence-led investigations. He ensures Arizona's HSTF activities are fully aligned with national priorities and supported by federal law enforcement, intelligence, and prosecutorial resources. As Co-Director, SAC Stevens shapes task force priorities, performance standards, and builds a high-performing leadership bench to sustain the HSTF mission.

With over 33 years of law enforcement experience, SAC Stevens has held key domestic and headquarters positions within HSI, developing extensive expertise in law enforcement and leadership. Prior to his current role as SAC Arizona, SAC Stevens served as Assistant Director for Domestic Operations, where he managed, directed, and coordinated investigative activities across HSI's 242 domestic field offices. He also served as SAC of HSI El Paso, overseeing operations in West Texas and New Mexico.

SAC Stevens possesses in-depth knowledge of the challenges associated with cross-border criminal activity and the impact of transnational criminal organizations on both border and interior communities. He understands the importance of maintaining strong partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, private sector, and academic stakeholders to achieve mission success.

At HSI Headquarters, SAC Stevens supported the Department of Homeland Security's Southern Border and Approaches Campaign under the Joint Task Force-Investigations (JTF-I). His experience also includes serving as Staff Coordinator in the Counter-Narcotics and Terrorism Operations Center (CNTOC) at the Special Operations Division (SOD), as well as Division Chief of Domestic Operations. SAC Stevens began his public service in the United States Marine Corps.
