Derek Stevens, a 15-year member of the Vantor team, leads the U.S. Government team for the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. Derek is focused on being a mission partner for warfighters and enabling them to harness commercial innovation at the speed of mission. He ensures that Vantor's product development and strategic investments are aligned with customers' current and future requirements through customer and stakeholder engagements.

Derek's previous experience at Vantor includes working with U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)'s Skope, an innovative, multi-intelligence fusion cell, where he spent time in Afghanistan to conduct mobile training at multiple outstations and directly supporting operations. Derek also played a pivotal role in establishing the Counterproliferation Advanced Analytics Cell (CPAAC) in partnership with the National Geospatial-intelligence Agency and USSOCOM's Data Analytics Research Cell (DARC).

Prior to Vantor, Derek served five years in the U.S. Army as a Signals Intelligence Analyst and Serbian-Croatian linguist. Most of his time was spent at the National Security Agency and its field sites while supporting Counter Terrorism missions, multiple combatant command requirements or other special assignments. Derek also spent time as a Department of Defense Civilian supporting a special mission unit focused on the nation's highest priority needs across the world.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Science Degree from George Mason University as well as multiple certifications in wireless communications, geospatial analysis, IT security and Agile development. He is from Dublin, California and enjoys spending time with his beautiful family, being active, and traveling.
