Ryan Rawding Vice President, Homeland Security Sector – BigBear.ai Ryan Rawding is the Vice President for BigBear.ai’s Homeland Security Sector, where he leads growth, strategy, and customer engagement across the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, he drives the development and deployment of mission-ready artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and computer vision solutions that enhance border security, trade facilitation, immigration enforcement, and critical homeland security operations. Before joining BigBear.ai, Mr. Rawding served with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), most recently as Acting Assistant Director at the National Targeting Center. Over his 14-year CBP career, he oversaw operations supporting counterterrorism, counter-narcotics, and immigration enforcement, working closely with DHS leadership, the White House, and international partners to operationalize data-driven strategies and deploy advanced technologies. In addition to his civilian leadership, Mr. Rawding has over 23 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, where he is a Maritime Enforcement Chief Petty Officer and Command Senior Enlisted Leader at the Joint Staff. His operational experience spans boarding officer, boat crew, and law enforcement instructor roles, with service in presidential inaugurations, State of the Union addresses, and migrant and counter-narcotics interdictions.
