Casmin Harris

FBI Rapid DNA Program Manager / State CODIS Administrator FBI.

Casmin Harris received her B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology, with a concentration in Biotechnology, from James Madison University. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Forensic Science. She began her forensic career at the Virginia Department of Forensic Science as a DNA casework Forensic Scientist. She has worked at the FBI since 2009, in the Federal DNA Database Unit, as a Forensic Examiner. Her primary duties are to interpret known DNA profiles from federal offenders and arrestees for upload into the CODIS database, and to provide investigative leads to casework labs in the event of CODIS hits. She has served as the State CODIS Administrator and Rapid DNA Program Manager since 2020. In this role she is responsible for implementing Rapid DNA technology in various FBI field offices. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies and her favorite quote is “Adapt, Migrate, or Perish.”
