Angela Yankowski

Ms. Angela Yankowski is the Director of the Biometrics and Identification Division for the Michigan State Police (MSP). She has served the agency for over 28 years in various capacities throughout her career. Within the division Angela performed as Assistant Division Director, Section Manager, and Facial Image Examiner. Prior to joining the division, she spent the first part of her career as a Violent Crimes Analyst and Senior Intelligence Analyst in the MSP Michigan Intelligence Operations Center. She previously served as Vice Chair for the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science Facial Identification Subcommittee and as a technical assessor on a forensic service provider assessment team for the ANSI National Accreditation Board. She is an MSP member on the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Board, a member on the CJIS Advisory Policy Board’s Identification Services Subcommittee, a member of the MSP Training Committee, and the MSP Department of Information Management Governance Board.
