With North Korea’s most recent development in long range nuclear armed missiles, the possibility of enemy ballistics invading US territory is real. North Korea, however, is
not the only country on the US’ radar; both Russia and China threaten the safety of our nation. Investing strategically into the Missile Defense Agency’s initiatives is not only a smart decision; it’s imperative. Ahead of the 2018 Integrated Air and Missile Defense Event, running November 28- 30th in Washington, D.C., we took a look at the Missile Defense Agency’s 2019 Budget Requests. Totaling $9.9 Billion, the MDA’s requests span across a variety of programs in an effort to strengthen and expand the defense forces for the US. We’ll break down some of the highlighted sectors to provide an overview of what the MDA holds as priority.
