Lieutenant Colonel Anthony R. Norman

Commander 16th Weapons Squadron U.S. Air Force

Lt. Col. Anthony R. Norman is the Commander, 16th Weapons Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. As the commander, he leads more than 15 instructor pilots in developing 20 F-16 Weapons Officers annually. Prior to this assignment, Lt. Col. Norman was the Chief, Senior Leader Management, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley- Eustis, Virginia.

Lt. Col. Norman received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2008. He was also a Chief of Staff of the Air Force Scholar at The Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas in 2021.

Lt. Col. Norman is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School and has more than 1,600 flying hours in the F-16. He has flown combat missions in support of Operation New Dawn and executed contingency support operations in Southwest Asia.
