Craig Woolston

Craig Woolston serves as sector vice president and general manager for Research & Advanced Design at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, a premier provider of military aircraft, autonomous systems, aerospace structures and next-generation solutions. In this role, Woolston is responsible for the sector's future technical advantage and ability to bring key aeronautics capabilities to the U.S. military and allies. Woolston also serves as program manager for the sector's Apex effort.

Most recently, Woolston served as vice president and program manager, Apex division. In this role, he shaped a strategic franchise capture opportunity and led innovations in digital engineering and system development.

Previously, he served as vice president and chief engineer, Strike, where he helped deliver innovative capabilities while managing risk within cost and schedule requirements across the Strike portfolio.

Woolston has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Since joining Northrop Grumman in 2005, he has held a wide range of positions, including systems engineering, software engineering, deputy chief engineer, chief architect and program manager for the Advanced Technology Development Center. He previously held multiple positions at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works.

Woolston is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in aeronautics engineering and a minor in computer science. Woolston earned a master's degree in aeronautical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
