Rohlfing

Mr. Robert “ROHO” Rohlfing is Deputy Director for the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS), the Air Force Center of Excellence for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) located in Orlando, FL.   AFAMS’s primary focus is to support all Air Force M&S functional communities with a strong emphasis on operational Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) capabilities across the full spectrum of military operations.   

Mr. Rohlfing is a retired Air Force Colonel, retiring with 27 years of service.   He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology.   Additional education includes Undergraduate Pilot Training; Squadron Officer School; Air Command and Staff College; Air War College; Master of Science in Systems Management, University of Southern California; Industrial College of the Armed Forces; and Master of Business Administration, Marymount University.

As an Air Force officer, Mr. Rohlfing flew over 3500 hours in a variety of aircraft including the AT-33, AT-38, F-4C/D/E, F-15A/C, RF-4, OV-10, OT-37, O-2A and A-10.  He has successfully commanded four different flying and command and control (C2) organizations from detachment to group, served as an expert in operational testing at both Air Force and Office of the Secretary of Defense levels, and spent over eight years in tactical to operational training leadership.
