Charles Wood

Charles T. Wood  is a student of aviation safety and a retired Command Pilot Lieutenant Colonel with over 25 years in the United States Air Force. He continued flying for another 20 years as an airline pilot and production test pilot for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing.  While he was at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing he invented U.S. Patent # 6.021,374. 

Boeing has stated that there are many reasons why an airworthy airplane under the control of a pilot crashes into terrain or man-made obstacle.
