New York, NY – June 2, 2010– The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is pleased to announce the newest installment of the Unmanned Systems Summit, scheduled for June 28-30, 2010, at the Key Bridge Marriot, Arlington, VA.

This follow-up summit combines discussion of UAVS, UUVS, UGVS, microbots, and millibots, demonstrating the shared operational challenges and current technological advances across the continuum of unmanned systems. Unlike other events in this arena, IDGA’s summit focuses on all unmanned verticals, allowing participants to achieve a macro perspective of the unmanned community, while fostering discussions and networking opportunities across the Armed Services. Spectrum management, payloads, and software interoperability are but a few of these shared challenges that will be discussed by leaders of these respective fields.

Other summit topics include advanced unique operational needs of the Army Special Operations forces, fielding systems of multiple UGVs/UAVs with levels of varying autonomy, developing mission-centric plug-and-play payloads, modular payloads and multi-platform UV controls, and next generation autonomous and micro-robotic systems.

This year’s speakers include LTG Michael Vane, USA, Deputy Commanding General, Futures/Director, Army Capabilities Integration Center, US Army Training and Doctrine Command, BG Raymond Palumbo, USA, Deputy Commanding General, US Army Special Operations Command, Paige Atkins, SES, Director, Defense Spectrum Organization, Glenn Rizzi, Deputy Director, Army UAS CoE, and Dr. Joseph Mait, Collaborative Alliance Manager, Micro Autonomous Systems and Technology, Army Research Laboratory, among many others.
