The weapon that rearranged Vietnam the Chinese and the nine nations of SE asia the "tigers" was "saturation spending" it caused them to enter another economic system and they have been there ever since. Doing our bidding and suffering the consequence of dirty manufacturingwhile supporting our debt. Seems to me we are using that strategy in central asia and overtime it could also do the job as well. Its nice it seems that we can afford it ... since money has now reached the stage of pure mythology.

Brain and its rational use is the strongest weapon know to man. save christian value, when a man is on war, is need of others weapons which may consent to have a garancy for its live. Technology and actual weapons (armored veichles ad personal armor body, headset and other means) are the best on this finality. Anyone aspire to peace's world, but it should not just deprive warriors of any means and weapons. Pieve di Teco, 2.7.2010 Claudio Alpaca

The strongest weapon in man's arsenal is his brain.

@callen3434: You are incorrect. Those who have slaughtered in the name of Christianity were not following the teachings of the Christian bible or Christianity. Christianity is the fastest growing faith and Muslims are becoming Christians at an amazing rate, so you are incorrect that Islam is overtaking Christianity. Christ saves the lives of everyone willing to understand the bible which makes it the perfect anti-weapon.

A very interesting question does this mean the most powerful weapon invented or the most powerful weapon yet to be invented.By far the most powerful weapon imaginable would be a weapon to control your opponents mind and actions.Remember what is the purpose of war it is not necisarly to kill your opponent(though this may be required) it is to impose your will upon him.Through history this has been done by force of arms, deception, threat, bluff, fear, etc, etc,.Two of the greatest theorist on war Clauewitz and Sun Tzu agreed on that though there methods overall were quite different. A mind control weapon while terrifying would make all the other means to victory unneccisary.

The Christian Bible. Its followers have slaughtered millions of people in the name of God, over the aqes. But, perhaps it is now being superceded by the Islam faith. Who knows. Who cares.

Howard.Stuart wrote: "the VOTE. With one vote we have seen more destruction done to America than all the wars put together. Nothing has more radically altered the course of our nation." Really? With one vote? Or do you mean one election? Which election are you talking about? It is curious that someone would define the expressed will of the people as a weapon. I thought the question was "what would the strongest weapon known to man be?" So, weapons-wise, it is clearly a thermonuclear weapon. Ideas can also be a form of "weapon," I suppose, but nothing has been made clearer to me after doing Info Ops off and on for a decade that they are extremely hard to mobilize as a weapon. And even then, actions speak louder than words, so it's not the idea itself but the concrete implementation of the idea that is powerful.

Impossing an ideology through brain washing. Leaders who are able to sale their ideas through brain washing, control the mind of the people and everything they want.

Fear is the most powerful weapon. It can stop people in their tracks, cause immense animals take caution, and even make the most powerful countries go to war (ie the Cold War). It can be used as both a military weapon or political weapon. Fear gives power to the mob and to gangsters. Fear drives the most clever minds to do irrational things.

I would have to say the power of the mob. There is nothing more dangerous than mob mentality. As the old saying goes "people are smart as individuals but when they get into groups they become dumb."

I know most people think it's the mind, or ideas, but it's not. The strongest weapon known to man is a rabid polar bear that is engulfed in flames, with one paw replaced with a Gatling gun, riding a motorcycle with spiked wheels with a live atomic bomb in his sidecar. He also has a splinter in his other paw, which just makes him angrier, and thus, more deadly.

The mind. It conceives the enemy. It ponders the weakness in his armor. It decides to act. It quiets the heart before you pull the trigger. It justifies the destruction of its enemies even before god. It lets you sleep at night.

I would opt for situational awareness. The mind in the end and its most intelligent and empathic applications are my choice. For me a weapon is the way we achieve peace and restored development in areas that are susceptible to war. Jim Channon First Earth Battalion

Sorry thought this was a military topic, I would like to change my vote from Biological Weapons to the VOTE. With one vote we have seen more destruction done to America than all the wars put together. Nothing has more radically altered the course of our nation.

I agree the pen is more powerful than the sword, but for raw explosive power nukes you can't beat a nuke. A standard nuke obliterate everything in a radius of at least 1 km and the closest conventional munition is more than an order of magnitude less powerful.

2 part answer; 1. Imagination and the mind. Not limiting the ideas of individuals no mater who they are! 2. The sharing of information between elements. The collective collaboration of individuals understanding the whole; from the sum of it's parts.
