This seems more a promotional piece for acoustic defense gear than antipiracy guidance. Yes, training is important and target discrimination even more so, but the article leaves the impression that LRAD is the only alternative to opening fire as soon as a suspicious small craft is sighted. If that really is so in the author's opinion he might mention it and discuss the alternatives, if any, that have been tried.
