IDGA’s Maritime Interdiction Summit will feature UAV Technology Development and Acquisition Initiatives

New York, NY, July 12, 2010-The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces its Maritime Interdiction Summit, taking place August 23-25, 2010 in San Diego, California.

The Summit addresses solutions to the wide spectrum of problems that plague maritime borders during a time of radical extremism and increasing international conflict. Specific themes include surveillance technologies, counter narcotic operations, curtailing illegal immigration, preventing terrorist attacks, intelligence, biometrics and identity management.

The event also features a Workshop Day on Monday, August 23, 2010. This in-depth series of discussions will focus on Maritime Operations and Technology Acquisition, Miniature Aerial Vehicle Research and Defining Needs in a System Development Cycle. The Focus Day also includes a Facility Tour of the Port of Miami which highlights Security and Surveillance measures.
