Military suicides: Alarm as death rates hit record high

The Pentagon has released figures that show the suicide rate among military personnel was the highest in 2012 since records began.
Last year there were 349 suicides among active-duty troops, up from 301 the previous year. The Pentagon began closely tracking suicides in 2001.
The alarming figure equates to nearly one death a day and even exceeded the Pentagon's own projection of 325.
