Department of Defense (DOD) Procurement is defined as the procurement of a wide range of non-capital goods and services directly by the defense forces. These include items associated with day-to-day operations such as food, clothing, transport, and the maintenance of equipment and premises. The services of the Government Supplies Agency and centralized framework agreements are also used to acquire items that may be in common demand by a number of Departments.
